FUN SWIM TEST AND START OF SUMMER SWIM PARTY AT THE MONTGOMERYS!

There will be a swim test and swim party at the Montgomery residence (3786 Willowick Dr, Ventura 93003) from 4:00 - ??:00 p.m. on Friday, June 20.  Anyone (both youth and adults) who is attending the Swamp Base High Adventure trip must be swim tested, even if you were certified already this year or last year.  Marlee Cattanach (Logan’s sister) is a certified lifeguard and she will be present to complete the certifications, and the good news is the pool will be heated (thank you Montgomery family)!

TIMING NOTE: From 4 pm to 5 pm we will be focused on getting the swamp base scouts and scouters swim tested and helping scouts complete rank based swim requirements, so the pool will only be used for this purpose during this time.  After 5 pm, swamp base swim testers will still have priority to get their swim test done, but between 5 pm and whenever Mr. Montgomery kicks us out :) or folks need to leave, we will have a
START OF SUMMER SWIM PARTY!  Food (TBA), watermelon and drinks will be provided.

VERY IMPORTANT ALSO: 
This swim test WILL NOT COUNT FOR OLIJATO SUMMER CAMP.  Olijato Summer Camp REQUIRES that we do the swim test AT CAMP (all adults and scouts) because the summer camp is in the mountains at altitude in colder water and the camp staff wants to verify that swimmers can actually complete the swim test under these conditions.

This swim test is REQUIRED if you are going to SWAMP BASE in Louisana.  They will allow us and prefer we do the swim test ahead of the trip.
